Pressler Master Classes

presslerWorld famous pianist and founding member of the Beaux Arts Trio will teach a weekend of Master Classes as part of Summertrios’ Premium Program. Participant pianists from the Premium Program will play with professional musicians a single movement from the chamber music repertoire. If you are not a participant in the Premium Program, we welcome you joining us as an Auditor for the weekend or for single Master Classes. The schedule for these classes is:

The weekend includes the six hours of Master Classes, three meals, and overnight accommodations on the beautiful Bryn Mawr campus. The fee is $375. and the deadline for application is April 15, 2010.

 

For attendance at a single two-hour class session, the fee is $75.

Erin Keefe, violin New York Debut Recital

The Strad American violinist Erin Keefe, winner of the 2006 Avery Fisher Career Grant, has established a reputation as a compelling artist who combines exhilarating temperament and fierce integrity. Ms. Keefe is a top prize winner of several International Competitions, including the Pro Musicis International Award (New York), the Valsesia Music International Violin Competition (Italy), the Torun International Violin Competition (Poland), and the Corpus Christi International String Competition. She has appeared in recent seasons with orchestras such as the New Mexico Symphony, the New York City Ballet Orchestra, and the Korean Symphony Orchestra, and has given recitals throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. Pianist Anna Polonsky, soloist and chamber musician, has appeared with the Moscow Virtuosi, the St. Luke’s Chamber Ensemble, and the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, among others. She has also collaborated with the Guarneri, Orion, and Shanghai Quartets, and with such musicians as Mitsuko Uchida, David Shifrin, and Richard Goode. She is regularly invited to perform chamber music at festivals such as Marlboro, Seattle, Bard, and Caramoor; has toured extensively throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia; and is a frequent guest at the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. Ever since his critically acclaimed debut at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, cellist Andrey Tchekmazov has enjoyed an active career as recitalist and chamber musician. The Grand Prize winner of the Vittorio Gui International Chamber Music Competition and the Premio Trio di Trieste, he has performed extensively throughout North and South America, Europe, Russia and Asia. He has also participated in ambitious, unique projects such as performing Dmitri Shostakovich’s entire chamber music repertoire for cello at the Phillips Collection.
