Premium Program

Menahem Pressler Master Classes: June 12 and 13, 2010

 

The Premium Program is unique in this country. It provides the rare opportunity for you to play in chamber music ensembles where you are the only amateur. It is a thrilling experience and after an exhilarating week playing with a group of our string and piano professionals, you’ll find yourself playing well above your usual level.

    There are no auditions or entrance requirements. If you feel you can benefit from such a program, you are welcome.. Everyone is accepted. Choose your own repertoire, usually a movement from each of two major pieces to work on. The repertoire is taken mostly from string and piano chamber music. However, we have even accommodated harp, woodwind, and guitar players.

    Performance is optional and each participant is allowed 15 minutes of performance time.A CD of your performance is available.

    The six day program includes four rehearsals of one and a half hours each on each of two works; three hours coaching on your instrument on each work; master class; reserved performance time; faculty concerts.
