Schedules for participants are individualized.
No two schedules will be the same. Schedules depend on what the person
wants to play, how much playing he/she wishes to do each day, and how his/her
needs fit with what everyone else is doing. Below you will see some
sample schedules (summarized). These are real schedules. The names
have been omitted to protect the innocent. When we construct a schedule
for you, it will be tailored to what you need.
The schedules below are summaries. The
full schedule lists all the players in each group, as well as the coaches, so
even if no repertoire is suggested, the participant can see what kind of group
it is (piano trio, flute sonata, string quartet, etc.)
You will notice that within any given schedule
no two days are the same. This is because we are balancing out a lot of
different needs. For example, some people like to play early in the day;
others loathe it. We can't set up groups with only "morning people", so
the groups that meet several times are scheduled in the morning some days and
in the afternoon other days. Many, many other considerations of this
sort have led us to the "no two days alike" schedule.
You will see that some groups meet several
times, and some only once. In the Advanced Cellist schedule, the group AQ01,
which was working on Beethoven string quartet Op. 95 meets every day except
Saturday. In the schedule for the advanced clarinetist you will see at
least three groups that meet only once, P206, P414, etc.
You will also see that some schedules are
heavier than others. Some people want to play more; some want to play
less; and we try to accommodate these wishes.
