Overview
A charming small college located on an elegant street in the small city of Chambersburg, PA. Lots of playing rooms, almost all airconditioned. Dining hall located in the dorms. There is no air-conditioning in any of the dorms. If you must have a/c there are several inexpensive motels nearby. There are tennis courts available to us. Many other recreational facilities on campus, including canoeing, gym, bowling, and weight room available at a small fee. Golf nearby.
Driving Directions
From New York or New Jersey: (200 miles) Take I-80 west from the George Washington Bridge, or I-78 west from the Lincoln Tunnel. Continue west to the intersection with I-81. South on I-81 about 40 miles past the PA turnpike exit to Exit 16 Route 30, Chambersburg. Follow Route 30 west to Route 11 North in Chambersburg. Right on Route 11 for about 2 miles. The main entrance to the campus is on your left. It is marked with stone pillars and is located where Route 11 makes a sharp bend to the right. Follow signs to Summertrios registration.
From Philadelphia: (160 miles) Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike westbound to the Carlyle Exit 226 (old exit 16). Follow the signs to I-81 South. South on I-81 for about 40 miles to Exit 16, Route 30. Follow Route 30 west to Route 11 North in Chambersburg. Right on Route 11 for about 2 miles. The main entrance to the campus is on your left. It is marked with stone pillars and is located where Route 11 makes a sharp bend to the right. Follow signs to Summertrios registration.
From the South: (100 miles from Washington, DC): Take I-81 North to Exit 14 in Pennsylvania (Route 316, Wayne Avenue). Follow Route 316 West to Route 11 North in Chambersburg. Take Route 11 north for about 2 miles. The main entrance to the campus is on your left. It is marked with stone pillars and is located where Route 11 makes a sharp bend to the right. Follow signs to Summertrios registration.
From the West: (160 miles from Pittsburgh) Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike east to Exit 189 (old Exit 14), Willow Hill. Follow Route 75 South toward Fort Loudon. Then follow Route 30 East to Route 11 North in Chambersburg. Right on Route 11 for about 2 miles. The main entrance to the campus is on your left. It is marked with stone pillars and is located where Route 11 makes a sharp bend to the right. Follow signs to Summertrios registration.
Airports
The Hagerstown Airport, Hagerstown, MD, 25 miles away, 301-791-3333: often there is a commuter flight daily from Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI).
The Harrisburg International Airport Harrisburg, PA, 60 miles away, 888-442-5387: usually there are daily flights from Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.
Amtrak
There is train service to Harrisburg. From New York City there is through service several times daily. Call Amtrak at 800-872-7245 for information about specific train times. We will meet your train if you let us know you need a ride. There is a pick up charge, TBA. For service from other points, please check the Amtrak website.
Transportation from Harrisburg & Hagerstown
Pick up available from Summertrios with advance notice of your arrival time: $75.
Currently there is no bus transportation.
