REGISTRATION
Registration closes 4/15/26
Please contact us after this date and we will try to place you.
-
Pianists register and select works before all other instruments. These works will appear on the repertoire list for all other instruments.
-
Repertoire choices should accurately reflect your current playing level. Please listen to the work and look at the part to inform your decision. Be prepared to play your choices at a consistent tempo in the first session.
-
Mixed Groups – Please include repertoire on your registration that combines woodwinds and horn with strings and/or piano. Mixed Groups will work on preassigned movements from their pieces per the difficulty level of the piano/string parts. Participants in Mixed Groups may arrange to read the remaining movements of their pieces during available reading sessions.
-
Pre-Formed Groups are welcome! One per participant preferred. You choose the repertoire. Pre-Formed Mixed Groups are strongly encouraged.
-
Waiting Lists – You may be placed on a waiting list if we are already at capacity for your particular instrument at the time of your registration. Do not fret! We will most likely be able to accommodate you and will be in contact with any updates. Please reach out to our Artistic Coordinator (keith@summertrios.org) or our Artistic Director (leslie@summertrios.org) if you have any questions or concerns.
-
First-Time Participants – To better match players in ensembles, new participants must submit a short video with your registration form. For help uploading videos, contact our Artistic Coordinator, Keith Colón, at keith@summertrios.org.
-
Cancellation – No refunds after May 6, 2026. Purchase protection (recommended) may be purchased from an independent vendor on the registration page. Summertrios does not administrate purchase protection.

ADD-ON
Have a Summertrios Faculty violinist coach/play in your pre-formed group for an additional fee. Please specify your choice on the registration form
Additional Notes for Pianists
-
Due to facility limitations, we can accommodate a maximum of 11 pianists.
-
You may select 2 works (trio or greater). To facilitate grouping, pianists are encouraged to choose works larger than a trio. There is a $115 surcharge to play 2 trios. (As part of a trio, your tuition dollars do not stretch as far towards hiring your coach. Rather than raise costs for pianists across the board, the trio surcharge helps offset these costs. Thank you for understanding.)
-
The repertoire list is intended to provide options, but you may choose any repertoire.
-
Choose at least 12-15 minutes of music per ensemble. Single movements are permissible.
Additional Notes for Strings, Woodwinds, Horn, and Guitar
-
Select/rank repertoire for each section on the registration page. Include at least one work with piano in your choices if one is listed which requires your instrument.
-
Note: mixed groups will work on specific movements as indicated on the form.
-
Priority is given to first choices. On the rare occasion that we cannot fulfill any of your first choices, we will contact you to discuss options before placing you.
-
Potential for a third group – We often have open spots when forming groups and would be happy to place you if you indicate interest on your registration form and have the matching instrument and availability. We cannot guarantee placement and you will not be able to select repertoire for a third group since it is based on scheduling needs. We will check with you before adding you to a third group.
